Where Are Your New Blogs?

A quick update so we can continue the conversation on my new platform if you like.

By Anni Ponder

Hi there!

Welp, imagine that: another twist in the road. Hmm.

As you might know, I’ve been going back to school to (FINALLY) pursue a formal degree in theology, which has been a dream since I was 19. For reference, I’m 45, so this desire has been with me over half my life. So. Kind of a big deal.

Initially, I considered not blogging or podcasting during my studies, to give myself the time I need to focus (who knew Advanced Hermeneutics would be this engrossing??). But that didn’t feel entirely right, so I planned to try to keep it all up, but the blogging and podcasting only periodically.

I’ve been doing that for about six months, and you know what? I’ve missed this.

Having an outlet for what I’m thinking, for what feels pressing, to give the Spirit someplace to go instead of staying stuck inside me. Hearing from my readers and listeners and engaging in the kinds of conversations that keep me going.

So I reconsidered yet again, imagining a return to my weekly offerings of a podcast or blog.

But.

You know why I haven’t done it?

Not gonna lie. It’s the tech.

It simply takes me more time to create a blog, record it, and put it up on this site, and then to design a newsletter and send it out to the world . . . like, this takes me HOURS . . . I wondered if there might be a better way to do this.

Then, I discovered Substack.

Turns out, that’s one slick platform that does most of the heavy lifting, and—BONUS—there are tons of great writers and readers who want to engage in conversation.

So, that’s where I’ll be adding new blogs from now on. I haven’t made the switch to podcasts there yet, so for now those are still hosted here. But as far as newsletter and written pieces (sans the audio I used to recording because I don’t think anyone was actually utilizing that feature), you can connect with me there and we can keep the conversation going.

Ooooh, and then . . . maybe YOU will start writing, if you haven’t already. Substack makes it oh-so-easy to put your thoughts out there and find a community to engage with. I wonder what might come of that? Hmm.

OK that’s it for today. All love to you and yours.

~Anni
