Overwhelmed by all the bad news?

Same.

Actually, overwhelmed is putting it mildly.

Outraged . . . Furious . . . Baffled . . . Despairing . . . Entirely FED UP . . . Incandescent . . . Livid . . . Apoplectic . . . Seething . . .

Outraged . . . Furious . . . Baffled . . . Despairing . . . Entirely FED UP . . . Incandescent . . . Livid . . . Apoplectic . . . Seething . . .

It’s enough to drive a person to despair.

But there’s a better way to grieve

We know joy is resistance.

Or should we say, ResistDANCE?

And sometimes, our protest needs to be visible.

That’s why I’m shaving my head.

Or rather, my teenage daughter is going to shave it.

Why? Because MISOGYNY IS MALIGNANT, But There’s A Cure! And we need to talk about it.

What will the evening entail?

Gathering with some of the valley’s best people*

Shared outrage, grief, and hope for a better world, including a live head-shaving

Groovy Femme Beats by DJ Mz May—you will love these tunes!

We just may raise the vibration and start a revolution of love!

*ALL whole-hearted lovers of peace and justice are welcome. Though this event centers women, we invite everyone who wants to create a better world! Don’t be put off by the femme-focus, guys! We need you, too!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • After you reserve your ticket, you’ll get an email with our location and other important info.

  • Anyone who wants to be a part of raising the vibration and consciousness around issues of misogyny, oppression, and what we need to do as a society to heal. As we said above, this is for ALL whole-hearted lovers of peace and justice, not just women! Whether you join us in person or online, we are grateful for your support and presence!

  • We love children! However, as the themes of abuse and exploitation will arise, it’s not advisable to bring young ones. Teens and tweens welcome at caregivers’ discretion.

  • We’re just a few ordinary people fed up with the cultural norms that perpetuate harm. We’re not associated with any group or political organization. The event’s proceeds will go to a local charity that helps women, children, and other vulnerable folks, and to The Malala Fund.

  • The performance protest portion of the evening will be livestreamed. You’ll receive a link in your confirmation email.

  • We know. It’s a weird time for a dance. But some of us are perimenopausal and it’s a school night, so we’re ending at 9.

Also, the head-shaving will begin promptly at 6:30, so plan to arrive between 6-6:15 at the latest.
